Candlelight Lotus Chakra 6

Candlelight Lotus Chakra 6 is a tealight holder made of Capiz shells with a silver metal edge forged around it. In these handmade candle holders you can place a tealight and when it burns, a fairytale light spreads through the layers of colored leaves of the lotus flower.

Lotus flower
The lotus flower is considered sacred in Buddhism. It symbolizes purity, beauty, perfection, sweetness of mind, peace, the sun and the moon, the feminine in all things, creative power, the eternal return of things. Because the lotus emerges in all its beauty from the muddy, dark depths, it is also considered to be a way for man to attain the purity of the divine status.

Chakra
This beautiful indigo lotus flower belongs to the sixth chakra: the Forehead Chakra (aina). The forehead chakra is indigo and stands for intuition, insight and wisdom and the deep blue purple colour can be calming and soothing. This is the sixth chakra and is located at the level of your forehead. 

Capiz shells
These are made from the outer layer of a sea mollusk, also known as the window oyster. The Capiz shells come from the Philippines and are so called because they were originally caught from the shallow coastal waters near the city of Capiz, on the island of Panay. Once properly cleaned, these shells are naturally transparent, and when painted with a light inside, they give a particularly beautiful play of colors.

The tealight holder comes in a sturdy round cardboard box with a description of the chakras in the languages: Dutch, German, Spanish, English, French and Italian.
