Butter lamp copper
Tibetan butter lamp of copper and brass, also called dipa. The light is considered in Buddhism as a phenomenon that fills the entire universe in different degrees. A butter lamp, the light is a symbol of the highest reality and is therefore one of the most important offerings in Buddhist rituals. On a Buddhist altar at least one lamp is kept burning continuously.
For light offerings, high-quality material such as clarified butter (ghee) is used to emphasize the importance of the offering. Clarified butter or ghee (available in the supermarket) can be burned with the supplied wicks. You can also use the butter lamp with a regular tea light.
