Altar statue Amitayus, Buddha of Infinite Life (Tibetan name: Tse-pameh). Amitayus, also called Aparmita is the Buddha of Infinite Life and essentially identical to Buddha Amitabha, the Buddha of Infinite Light (Wisdom). In his hands he holds a vase filled with Amrit, nectar of immortality. On this vase is the sacred Ashoke tree that reduces sorrow and fulfills wishes. On top of the tree is a miniature Amitabha. Amitayus is invoked for a long life, good health and happiness.
The mantra of Amitayus is: "OM AMARANI JIVANTIYE SVAHA". Reciting this mantra promotes wisdom and is believed to prolong your life as well as the lives of other beings.
This small Buddha statue can be placed in your home or on an altar, but is also suitable to take with you in your bag when traveling.
